Voice and performance coaching for shy and beginner performers

I know what it’s like to speak publicly and have both of my legs shake so much that I can’t even stand. I know what it’s like to not even comprehend the words I’m speaking because all I can hear is the deafening reverberation of the sound of my voice on the empty walls around me, as I stand in space, alone, exposed, in front of people. I know what it’s like to have a rich inner landscape of opinions and impressions that I can’t keep inside anymore, but I can’t express either, because I feel disabled from anxiety or fear or the elaborate fiction I believe about the scenario I’m in, the people I’m with, or the thing I want to express. I know how lonely and confusing and misunderstood the experience of introversion can be. I know the impact of being told you are “sensitive” or “shy” and how it can take a lifetime to unlearn that biased narrative and own your experience as valid and worthy. I know what it’s like to have people around me love me, but to still feel petrified to express myself because it’s just so mortifying to be vulnerable. 

 

I also know that the other side of this is not being loud or big or dominant or entertaining or charming or magnetic or transfixing. It can be those things. It most certainly doesn’t ever have to be any of those things. I know that everyone can find their own unique expression of self when they sit presently with that self and listen. Let’s work together to listen, find that inner voice waiting to be seen, and honor and nurture and develop it. 

 

Come prepared to sing and to move.​ Every session will be experiential and practical so that you can get to know your performance self and your voice with a guide. ​

Creative project planning and coaching for artists of any medium 

 

I also work with artists who want to plan for their next project and who are serious about taking action with an accountability coach. I can help with everything from brainstorming to designing and implementing structures and processes to ensure action, to offering feedback about the work itself. I love to help creatives from any medium become even more self-expressed, grounded, and precise in what they want to say with their voice in the world. Let’s work together to create an optimal environment for your ideas to grow and an experience where cultivation and manifestation is natural, inspired, and sustainable. 

 

Come prepared to dive in, ask a lot of questions and be asked a lot of questions, and work together to create a plan and take action.
