About Me

In my younger years I was extremely shy and terrified of speaking and singing in front of people but I always loved music. When I started writing songs privately behind closed doors as a teenager, I knew I had a lot I wanted to say, but something had to change about how I was keeping my voice and my expression to myself. Over the years, I deliberately pursued ways to uncover my hidden voice. Many personal growth workshops, trainings, mentors, degrees, and life experiences later, I found myself as the lead singer in a blues band that performed regularly in New York City. While I love to sing, I think performance itself is fascinating, in all forms. To explore further, I performed as a dancer with a modern dance troupe, as an actor in plays and films, and even as a performative installation art piece. I will forever study performance as an artistic craft, act of revolution, and powerful tool for deeply knowing the self and developing presence in the world. I want to share my experience with you.

My eclectic life experience

Life learner, human potential advocate, creative, dreamer, activator, researcher, director, interviewer, experience curator

I have backpacked around several countries, been a lead singer in a blues band, designed jewelry and installation art, produced documentary and experimental films, curated music events, scouted podcast talent, booked musical artists, lead operations departments for startups, and owned my own food truck. These experiences have served as the best education of my life, but I've also had the joy of participating in these formal trainings:

  • M.A. in Performance and Creative Research from the University of Roehampton in London

  • Diploma in Vocal Performance from the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London

  • Training in music improvisation and performance from Naropa University in Boulder

  • Music Ensemble studies from The New School in New York City

  • Training and journeywork with shamanic practitioners and medicine women

  • Life coaching training from the Coaches Training Institute in San Francisco

What I am most insatiably curious about is learning about how different and unique everyone is and how we can work together to bring the best expression of that uniqueness out into the world.

Why Dream with India

I dream of a world where:

  • the unique voice of the self is applauded

  • we show up present, with our whole self, on purpose

  • we lead with love and tenderness as we approach the self and others

  • we want to learn from new ideas, voices, and perspectives

  • we are bold and candid in our self-expression

  • dreamers and activators work together

  • connection heals isolation

Why voice

I believe our world would be so much better if everyone's voices were heard, honored, uplifted, and developed. When we silence our voices, we are saying "no" to ourselves. We rob others of the opportunity to know us. We rob others of the opportunity to know themselves more because of their intersection with us. We miss out on making an impact on the world with that one and only voice of ours. I dream of a world where the full spectrum of thinking, creativity, and voice is championedWe don't have time to keep quiet. Let's make a better world now. Let's start with you.

Why presence

What is the cost to your life when you are not present? Like silencing your voice, it costs everything: your whole identity, your whole health, your whole future. Every day, every hour, every minute, we have the choice to be present: present with our companions and colleagues, present in our experiences, present with ourselves. When we practice presence, we are tuned in to the richness of right now, grounded, open, and available. Imagine what might be possible from this place, not just for yourself, but for the world.

I dream of a world where everyone is self-expressed and present, so that they show up healthier, happier, and more capable of connecting with others. Will you dream with me?
